The objective of the project is to modify the channel downstream of Lower Crystal Springs Dam (near San Mateo) to facilitate fish passage during the Summer low flow months. The work is to be performed in San Mateo, California.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 8.00%. Both San Francisco Small & Micro-LBEs and SFPUCLBEs (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division) can be utilized to meet this requirement. The participation requirement was set factoring in environmental factors and permits and the availability of LBEs.Please contact Alysabeth Alexander-Tut at ( 415) 551-4335 for further information. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: trucking, plumbing, concrete, vegetation, heavy equipment operators, carpentry, and electrical.
A DVD version of the bidding documents, plans, and specifications,and available project information is available by mail or at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 1st Floor, Customer Service Desk, San Francisco, CA 94102 for a nonrefundable $10.00 fee paid by check payable to "SFPUC." Hard copy versions of the plans and specifications are only available by mail or by appointment for pick up for an additional fee of $180.00.
