The objective of the project is to demolish the existing cryogenic plant that is no longer in use and replace the existing liquid oxygen system with a brand new. In addition, demolish SEP 270 in order to create space for the new liquid oxygen system.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 16% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 16% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. The scope of work limits LBE participation because it involves specialized work: installing liquid oxygen storage tanks, vaporization system, controls, and delivery system to aeration process units. Hard copy versions of plans, specifications and bidding documents are available at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 1st Floor Customer Service Desk San Francisco, CA 94102 for a non-refundable $190 fee paid by cash or by check payable to “SFPUC.” The hard copy plans and specs will come bundled with a CD that contains essential reference documents. A contractor, who is requesting plans & specs by mail should send a request with the original, signed Confidentiality Agreement, appropriate payment amount, FedEx #, business card, contractor license # and return shipping information to: Contract Administration Bureau at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 8th floor, San Francisco, CA 94102.
