Update: Responses to the RFI

During the submittal period, the SFPUC received the following proposals:

SWEET - Sunol Workforce Environmental Education Training

Staff evaluated the proposals to ensure that each met the minimum qualifications as reflected in the evaluation criteria described in the RFI Brochure. The proposals were not ranked or prioritized. The results of that evaluation can be found here.

A more detailed description of the various proposed uses can be found here in the introductory letter. Please read the introductory letter thoroughly before you respond to the survey.

After you have reviewed the RFI brochure, the proposals submitted in response to the RFI, and the introductory letter, we are asking you to tell us how you feel about the proposed utility and third party uses for the former Sunol Valley Golf Course property by taking the community survey. The survey results will be tabulated and used to help inform our planning process for the site.

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is seeking interest letters and proposed concepts to consider in developing a future formal Request for Proposals (RFP) for lease of portions of approximately 642 acres of real property located at 6900 Mission Road, in Sunol California (the Property), comprised of a former 309-acre golf course (Golf Course Parcel) and a 333-acre parcel of land currently used for cattle grazing (Grazing Parcel).

The SFPUC envisions a mixture of SFPUC utility uses (uses that serve a utility purpose) and third-party uses at the Property. The SFPUC previously identified potential utility uses for the Property. These uses are not necessarily mutually exclusive, and they have not been prioritized. The list of potential uses is not exhaustive. Proposers may submit proposals for any legal uses, except for golf course, marijuana cultivation, and quarry uses.
