Transmission Lines, Substations and Switchyards

Modesto Bike Path

This project will modify 5 electrical towers within the City of Modesto. The conductor clearances associated with these towers currently do not meet state and/or federal safety regulations. This project will modify the towers and raise the height of the conductors in order to provide additional clearance between the ground and the transmission lines. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2018, and be complete by early 2019.


Warnerville Substation Rehabilitation

Warnerville Substation needs to be upgraded to meet regulatory and safety requirements. This project will rehabilitate and upgrade major components of the switchyard. Work includes replacement of high voltage transformers and circuit breakers, correction of grounding issues, fence replacement, disconnect switch replacement, and improvement of the grading in the switchyards. This contract was awarded as a Design-Build Contract. Construction is under way and scheduled for completion in Summer 2019.
