Applications are open for the 2018 SSIP CityWorks Program. CityWorks, a paid internship program, provides interns aged 16-19 years old from San Francisco’s Southeast neighborhoods with work-based learning and mentorship opportunities through summer jobs with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and private engineering firms working with our Sewer System Improvement Program (SSIP). Developed in partnership with the SSIP and Young Community Developers, SSIP Cityworks strives to increase diversity in engineering, program management, communications and related fields.

As a SSIP CityWorks intern, you’ll have access to mentors, supervisors and a strong community of professionals all of whom are dedicated to helping you achieve your careers goals. To apply for SSIP CityWorks, complete an application and submit it in person to Lindsey Lopez, SSIP CityWorks Coordinator at Young Community Developers, Inc., 1715 Yosemite Avenue San Francisco, CA 94124. All applications must be turned in by the applicant before Wednesday, April 18, 2019, at 5:00pm. Contact Lindsey with any questions.

The program is made possible by the SFPUC’s Community Benefits Policy which guides the Agency’s efforts to be a good neighbor and provide opportunities to our service area communities. Partners have included the following:
