The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (“SFPUC”) is issuing this Request for Quotes for fence replacement and repair fence damaged by the SCU Lightening Fires (August-September 2020). The SCU Lightening Fires burned existing fences in the Sunol Watershed located in Alameda and Santa Clara Counties of California. The SFPUC issued an emergency declaration and is procuring services in accordance with San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 6 Section 6.60, Emergency Repairs, Work and Contracts.
The SFPUC seeks contractors with demonstrated experience and qualifications in construction of rangeland fence in rugged terrain and will only consider bids from Contractors from a limited list of contractors for the applicable category of work, as posted at https://www.sfwater.org/bids/DocList.aspx?bidid=4272. Contractors or their subcontractors should have a C-13 license issued by the California State License Board.
The SFPUC reserves the right to award up to three contracts based on the quotes. The SFPUC will select the Contractors for award based on its emergency needs at the fence sites, which involve a number of factors, including without limitation: contractor experience; contractor availability; contractor resource capacity; and unit price per foot for 6-strand barb wire fence. The SFPUC reserves the right to reject and re-quote the work. Distribution of the work to the Contractors will occur through task orders after the contracts are signed. The unit prices submitted at time of quote will be used to create a lump sum for the task orders assigned to each Contractor for completing work on specific segments of fence.
