The objective of the project is to perform As-needed pavement restoration required per DPW Order No. 187,005 for excavations in street and sidewalks done by others. The excavations are for water service and water meter installation, meter box installation and adjustment, and also for repairing pipe leaks and main breaks. Locations of the work are mostly at various locations within the City and County of San Francisco, including Yerba Buena Island and Treasure Island and occasionally in SFWD easements in the Peninsula and East Bay. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. The contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid.
A Class “A” California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 5.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 5.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. The requirement is less than 20% due to the variability of actual work scopes in an as-needed contract and the closeout LBE participation percentage for WD-2820R and WD-2710.
