Free-Water Saving Devices

The SFPUC Water Conservation Section offers all its customers free water-saving devices.

These water-saving devices are simple to install and, while they are small in size, can lead significant water conservation savings. Together, installing one faucet aerator and one low-flow showerhead can result in an average of 14,000 gallons per year in savings.

For your FREE water-saving devices, schedule a FREE Water-Wise Evaluation for your home or business by calling the SFPUC Water Conservation Section at (415) 551-4730. You can also, pick up devices at the SFPUC Customer Service office from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday at 1155 Market Street, 1st Floor,
San Francisco, CA 94103.

Reduce water flow to 1.5 gallons per minute or less. Installing aerators on kitchen and bathroom faucets can reduce water usage in the home by about 4%. Reduce water flow to 1.5 gallons per minute or less and save thousand of gallons per year.
 

 

 
Over time the flapper in your toilet tank can become worn and not work effectively to stop leaks into the toilet bowl. Replace your flapper and it may stop your toilet from leaking.
