The San Joaquin region is located in parts of Alameda, Stanislaus, San Joaquin and Tuolumne Counties. There are 4 major water system improvement projects in this area. These projects will rebuild, repair and retrofit major transmission pipelines and other facilities that support water delivery of the Hetch Hetchy System.

The San Joaquin Regional Water Quality Improvement Project Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) has been released for public review by the San Francisco Planning Department.
