Annual Reports
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is committed to providing its customers with safe, high quality drinking water. The SFPUC issues an Annual Water Quality Report (Consumer Confidence Report), which summarizes the water quality analyses conducted on source and treated water samples over the past year. The analyses measure the level of various contaminants present in the water. Both source and treated water supplies continue to meet the maximum contaminant levels and treatment standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency and California Department of Health Services .** In response to a recent study, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission emphasized there are no detectable traces of mercury present in San Francisco's drinking water. A recently completed annual water quality report detailing the results of the over 100,000 water quality tests conducted last year confirm this result.** Read the release here.
