Cross Connection Control / Backflow Prevention
A backflow, which is also known as a cross connection, is an unprotected link between a drinking water system and a source of contamination -- such as waste water, industrial fluids, or pesticides. The backflow can occur when material moves from the contaminated source back into the drinking water system.
