To encourage more installations of solar power in San Francisco, the City is offering incentives to San Francisco residents and businesses to install solar power on their properties. The incentive program, GoSolarSF, coupled with the California Solar Initiative, a rebate program sponsored by the State of California, and federal tax credits, could pay half the cost or more of a solar power system installed in San Francisco.
GoSolarSF offers residents up to $4,000, and businesses up to $10,000 to install solar power. Low-income residents and non-profit, multi-family residences can get even more. See our GoSolarSF brochure.
If you have additional questions about GoSolarSF and how to apply for the program, email us at gosolarsf@sfwater.org, or call (415) 554-3289.
