The CAP Service Discount offers qualifying residential single-family customers a 15% discount on water service and water consumption charges and a 35% discount on sewer service charges.
The discount will later qualify the family for free, direct installation of low-flow fixtures and water-efficient toilets replacing the need for a direct subsidy through lowered water/wastewater bills for the long-term.
Eligibility for the CAP Service Discount is based on annual combined household income. To qualify for the CAP Service Discount, customers must submit an application which includes a valid declaration of household income. Applicants with proof of participation in the PG&E CARE or Norcal Waste Systems, Inc./Sunset Scavenger Lifeline residential discount programs qualify for the CAP Service Discount.
