The Water System Improvement Program (WSIP) Small Firm Advisory Committee appointed by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) General Manager, was formed through amendments to the City's Administrative Section 14 B in 2006, and is comprised of knowledgeable professionals with construction industry experience in local business and job development. The WSIP Small Firm Advisory Committee, will assist the SFPUC in its efforts to provide meaningful business opportunities to small, locally based construction companies throughout the SFPUC's water service territory. Comprised of 5 appointees representative of the SFPUC's service territory from the Bay Area Peninsula to Yosemite, the Committee provides public meeting opportunities to meet with residents of suburban water customer jurisdictions to discuss actions of the committee that affect those residents.
Regular meetings of the WSIP Small Firm Advisory Committee are held quarterly, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the City of Fremont Chamber of Commerce, 39488 Stevenson Place.
