The State Water Board has extended California’s emergency drought regulations and water use reduction goals through October 2016. SFPUC customers have responded well to this severe historic drought and are encouraged to keep up their commitments to save water. We collectively exceeded last year’s call for an overall 10% reduction in water use compared to 2013. Customers with accounts dedicated to landscape irrigation also exceeded a mandatory 25% reduction. In response to continued statewide water cut backs, the SFPUC is asking for community-wide efforts to maintain the same level of efficient water use.

It is critical that all our customers in and outside San Francisco conserve water and take immediate action to reduce outdoor water use and waste. Whether you're a homeowner, live in an apartment, or a commercial business, everyone can lower and maintain efficient water use and help meet our 10% request.
