Note:
1) "< xx" = Less than where "xx" is the detection limit.

2) NA = Not Available.

3) Detection Limit (DL) - The DL changes with each sample's water quality and volume. Lower DL's can be obtained with higher sample volumes and/or better water quality.

4) Total = The Total count is a sum of all the subcategories (“Empty”, “Amorphous”, or “With (internal) Structure(s)”). For Giardia, up to three distinct structures are seen – axonemes, median bodies, and nuclei. For Cryptosporidium, up to four sporozoites are seen. Given that the method is subject to false positives and false negatives, the “Total” column represents the most inclusive data on the conservative end. All data in each category represents a collective interpretation of the three microscopic techniques used (FA, DAPI, and DIC).

5) On September 20, 2000, our testing method switched from the Information Collection Rule (ICR) method to EPA Method 1623.

6) On November 18, 2001, our testing volume changed from 10L using the Envirochek capsule to 100L using the Envirocheck High Volume (HV) capsule.
