The San Francisco Public Utilities routinely monitors Cryptosporidium and Giardia levels in 14 locations throughout the water system. The testing program encompasses the Hetch Hetchy Water Supply, the Sunol Valley Water Treatment Plant, the Harry Tracy Water Treatment Plant, and the City of San Francisco Water Distribution System.
