SFPUC Right of Way Encroachment Policy - Revised

Since the original implementation of the Right of Way Encroachment Policy, security concerns have given additional impetus to the need to provide a safe and protected corridor for water transmission by the SFPUC. The SFPUC’s concern for safety and security provides an additional foundation for the strict implementation of this policy.

On February 13, 2007, the SFPUC approved a revised Right of Way policy that clarified how the utility will handle encroachments and also addressed special uses related to bisected parcels, municipalities and neighborhood associations.

These three documents are attached below.
