ORDER OF BUSINESS
- Meeting began at 5:15 pm
- Minutes of meeting of 03-06-2007 adopted unanimously without revision.
- There was no public comment.
- Rich Chien of SF Environment and Dan Sider of City Green were invited to speak on current LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver policies, requirements and outreach efforts. The Motion to require all new construction in the city, above a certain threshold, to meet a minimum of LEED Silver standard was temporarily withdrawn.
- Barbara Hale, Assistant General Manager for Power, gave an overview and update on current status. Aaron Israel is concerned about Direct Access can hurdle the benefits to other communities. Barbara Hale explained Direct Access was complimentary to CCA. Ken Cleaveland emphasized the important benefits Direct Access brought to small buildings tenants. Barbara also mentioned current RFI status. Kimia Mizany commented the city could go greener by using more energy diverse resources.
Public Comments/Questions:
Ed Dierauf: Can tidal and wave power be part of CCA? A: Under contract to explore such technology. Sakura Saurders: If San Francisco can implement CCA district by district? A: Yes. David Jay and Aliza Wasserman spoke on supporting SF PUC’s CAA effort. - Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm
