CONSENT CALENDAR
9. All matters listed hereunder constitute a Consent Calendar, are considered to be routine by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, and will be acted upon by a single vote of the Commission. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Commission or the public so requests, in which event the matter will be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered as a separate item.
a) Staff Recommendation: Authorize the General Manager of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission to request permission from the Board of Supervisors to accept and expend grant funds totaling $995,791 from the Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Biofuels Program, as administered by the California Energy Commission (CEC), and to execute all required agreements.
b) Staff Recommendation: Amend the Real Estate Services Operating Manual (Manual) of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) to clarify that the General Manager of Public Utilities has authority to approve and/or execute on behalf of the SFPUC, as permittee, a permit to enter and use real property if the permit is year-to-year or shorter and does not require payment of fees in excess of specified limits.
REGULAR BUSINESS
10. Hear testimony pursuant to Assembly Bill 1823, California Statutes of 2002, discussion and possible action related to approving revisions to the Water System Improvement Program’s Budget and Schedule. (Labonte)
Staff Recommendation: Approve revisions to the Water System Improvement Program’s Budget and Schedule.
PUBLIC HEARING
11. Public Hearing to consider budget proposals for the Operating and Capital Budgets for the enterprises and bureaus under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission for FY 2008-2009, and possible action. (Persons who are unable to attend the public hearings may submit to the City, by the time the proceedings begin, written comments regarding the subject of the hearing.) These comments will be brought to the attention of the Commission and will become a part of the official public record.
