Power Enterprise Workshop
14. Presentation and discussion of the Power Enterprise’s Draft Business Plan. (Hale) (continued from the Regular Meeting of August 9, 2005) Staff Recommendation: Discussion only. The SFPUC Power Enterprise provides energy services to municipal departments from the Hetch Hetchy powerhouses and other power and efficiency services, including on-site renewable generation; provides streetlighting services; represents San Francisco's interests on energy issues in State and Federal forums; manages utilities planning for redevelopment projects such as Treasure Island; and protects San Francisco's interests in receiving services from Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Discussion will include policies and programs under development, such as electric utility infrastructure development to serve San Francisco's needs, Community Choice Aggregation, and municipalization.
