This report presents the results of an analysis that evaluates historical City and County of San Francisco retail water demands and projects the future water demands for those same uses. In addition, this report describes the conservation potential to be achieved through conservation measures currently under evaluation by San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC). The SFPUC’s retail water demands are identified for purposes of this report as those persons, services and institutions within the corporate boundaries of San Francisco which receive water from the SFPUC, and several other industrial, governmental and individual users in the Bay Area and Sierra Nevada foothills. Groundwater demand estimates for other entities within the corporate boundaries of San Francisco are also presented. The SFPUC also sells water to various cities, water agencies and other entities that comprise the wholesale water customers; however, those water demands are not the subject of this report.
