All commercial or industrial wastewater discharged into the City's sewer system must comply with the provisions of local regulations - Department of Public Works Order #158170 and Industrial Waste Ordinance, Article 4.1.
The most common pollutants of concern in dental office wastewater are mercury and silver. The maximum concentration that is allowed to be discharged to the City¡¦s sewer system is 0.6 mg/L for silver (AG, as total) and 0.05 mg/L for mercury (Hg, as total).
