The SFPUC has also developed a new program to educate San Francisco renters on wasteful water practices and help put them on the right track to be ‘Water Wise’. The SFPUC now offers FREE Water Wise Tenant Kits as a tool for property owners and managers to inform residents on water conservation practices. 

Each Water-Wise Tenant Kit includes:

• Educational materials on water wise practices for the kitchen, bathroom and property grounds.
• Information on how to identify and report wasteful plumbing and landscape leaks.
• Household water-saving tools such as the plumbing handbook, dye tablets, reuseable canvas bag and sponge printed with useful conservation message.

To receive Water-Wise Tenant Kits for your multi-unit property, contact the SFPUC to schedule a FREE Water-Wise Evaluation. After scheduling your appointment, one of our technicians will visit your property, offer efficiency tips and appropriately evaluate your water needs.

NOTE: Water-Wise Tenant Kits are available only to multi-family account holders with a SFPUC service address. Water-Wise Tenant Kits are available for pick-up after a SFPUC Water-Wise Evaluation, while supplies last. The maximum number of kits available shall be no greater than the number of occupied residential units at the time of the water conservation evaluation.
