San Francisco’s GoSolarSF Program was established to increase the number of solar installations within the city by providing incentive payments to residents, local businesses and non-profit organizations.
Incentives are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis until the incentive budget is exhausted. During fiscal year 2009-2010, the program is funded with $5 million from annual net operating revenues of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), the agency administering the program. Any unspent funds roll over into the next fiscal year.
The application package reflects a streamlined administration allowing us to incorporate CSI application information for projects applying for state rebates through the California Solar Initiative. The application also allows the party paying the electric bill to designate an incentive payee other than themselves, if desired.
The package has two distinct program agreements, one for installations 30 kilowatts or less, and the other for projects greater than 30 kW. The program agreement for systems 30 kW or less contains simplified insurance requirements.
The example agreement below shows how to complete the agreements.
