The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) announces a Request for Proposals from pre-qualified design-build firms to provide design-build services for the Tesla Treatment Facility Project, including engineering and design, manufacturing, supply, delivery, construction and erection, start-up, testing, commissioning and warranty and guarantee of a new treatment facility. This facility will consist of a new 315-MGD disinfection system utilizing Ultraviolet (UV) light and a new chemical feed facility (sodium hypochlorite, carbon dioxide and hydrofluosilicic acid) at the existing Tesla Portal site, located in southwest San Joaquin County outside the City of Tracy. The selected Proposer may also be called upon to provide other related specialized services at the discretion of the SFPUC.
The City has pre-qualified Shimmick Construction/Black & Veatch Construction JV, PCL Civil Constructors Inc., and CDM/Monterey Mechanical Co. JV as design-build firms through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process. Only those three firms will be allowed to submit Proposals in response to this RFP.
