The work is located in San Bruno in San Mateo County and consists of: Installation of new mechanical flocculation mixers and associated electrical equipment; Modifications to the chemical feed and mixing piping; Construction of new baffles walls in the flocculation basins; Structural modifications for seismic strengthening of the flocculation basins including reinforced concrete and structural steel fabrications; Removal and reinstallation of filter media and support gravel; Installation of new plastic block underdrains, filter media and washwater troughs for Filters 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6; Installation of new plastic nozzle underdrains, filter media and washwater troughs for Filters 8, 9 and 11; Installation of new filter to waste piping valves and appurtenances; Structural modifications for seismic strengthening of the filter structure including reinforced concrete and structural steel fabrications
