
Project Update: Notice to Proceed was issued to NTK Construction, Inc. on July 14, 2011.
Project Description: Channel Pump Station, San Francisco’s largest sewage pumping station, has been in near-constant operation since it was brought on line in 1979. A new round of upgrades commenced at the facility in July 2011, including corrosion and concrete surface repairs as well as upgrades to odor control, electrical, controls and instrumentation systems. The project, which builds upon previous improvements to the pump station, is scheduled to conclude in December 2012.
