THIS BID HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
The objective of the project is to provide redundant effluent pumping capacity at North Shore Pump Station during wet weather. This project will replace existing four (4) dry weather pumps with larger capacity units so that they are capable of pumping redundant capacity during wet weather. The project also includes upgrades to the motor control centers and distributed control system. The implementation of this project will ensure reliable and efficient operation in keeping with the LOS and maintain regulatory compliance. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California.
There will be no bid discounts for this contract. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 13.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 13.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. The 13% requirement was established in consideration of the majority scope of work comprised of custom and specially manufactured items. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: structural steel, structural concrete, elevator service, roofing, plumbing, painting, earthwork, sewer utilities, electrical, instrumentation and controls. Please refer to Section 01 60 00 in the Specifications regarding the purchase of equipment to achieve the LBE subcontracting participation requirement.
