Project Description

The work to be done under this contract consists of green infrastructure work, pavement renovation, sewer work, drainage work, landscaping work, water main work, and traffic control which includes constructing concrete curb ramps with detectable surface tiles, bulbouts, bioretention planters, infiltration galleries, slope stabilization features, rain garden and permeable pavement on Seacliff Avenue between 25th Avenue and 26th Avenue, 25th Avenue North Cul-de-Sac and El Camino Del Mar between 32nd Avenue and 34th Avenue in San Francisco ,California. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. The Engineer's estimate is $6,000,000 to $7,000,000. The Contract will he awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.

Attendance and completion of the Green Infrastructure Construction Training, provided by the SFPUC, is required for this contract. Only contractors directly related to the construction of Green Infrastructure features, whether prime (Class A - General Engineering Contractor), subcontractors or second tier subcontractors (Classes C-8, C-12, C-27, C-34)„ that have attended and completed the Green Infrastructure Construction Training will be allowed to submit bids for this contract. The dates and time of the trainings are listed in Section 00 21 13, Instructions to Bidders, Article 1.09 Bidder Qualifications, subsection B Bidder's Qualifications Statement.
Please note: attendance of a new training course 2.3 is required to meet the qualification requirements to bid on this contract.

Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 20.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LB Es can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 20.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. Please contact LaKysha Cummings at 415-554-3136 for further information.

Hard copy versions of plans, specifications and bidding documents are available at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 1st Floor, Customer Service Desk, San Francisco, CA 94102 for a non-refundable $180.00 fee paid by cash or by check payable to “SFPUC.”  Call (415) 551-4603 for further information.  A CD version of the plans, specifications is available for a fee of $10.00.  A contractor, who is requesting plans & specs by mail should send a request with the appropriate payment amount, FedEx #, business card, contractor license # and return shipping information to: Contract Administration Bureau at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 8th floor, San Francisco, CA 94102.
