The objective of the project is to rehabilitate and update systems and equipment within Holm Powerhouse to extend the useful life and to replace and improve the oil/water separation system within the Kirkwood Powerhouse. The work is to be performed in Tulumne, CA.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 15%. Both San Francisco Small & Micro-LBEs and SFPUC-LBEs (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division) can be utilized to meet this requirement. The project requires specialized manufactured items and specialized work within Holm Powerhouse and Kirkwood Powerhouse. Specialized items include work on the unit Governor systems, Main Control Board, Unit Control Systems, High Voltage switchgear and Generator Isophase. The crews will need special awareness of the safety and operational concerns during a refurbishment. When working in electrical cabinets, the electrician/technician needs to be aware of the circuits that are still energized. Please contact Jason Chow at 415-554-3103 for CMD related issues.
If you wish to purchase in person, hard copy versions of plans, specifications, CD and bidding documents are available at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 1st Floor Customer Service Desk San Francisco, CA 94102 for a non-refundable $190 fee paid by cash or by check payable to “SFPUC.” The CD contains essential reference documents and must be purchased with the hard copies.
