The objective of the project is to replace the existing 24-inch diameter vitrified clay pipe (VCP) sewers, that is encased in reinforced concrete and supported by timber piles, with 30-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) sewers and restoration of any disturbed surface areas, as shown in the contract drawings. The contract work is located in the vicinity of Cesar Chavez Street, from 3rd Street to Indiana Street, and through the SFMTA Islais Creek Motor Coach Facility, from Indiana Street to an area underneath the Southbound Interstate 280.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 20% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). Only CDs and bidding documents are available at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 1st Floor, Customer Service Desk, San Francisco, CA 94102 for a non-refundable $10 fee paid by cash or by check payable to “SFPUC.” A contractor, who is requesting plans & specs by mail should send a request with the appropriate payment amount, FedEx #, business card, contractor license # and return shipping information to Contract Administration Bureau at 525 Golden Gate Ave., 8th floor, San Francisco, CA 94102.
