The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), a department of the City and County of San Francisco, seeks to retain the services of a qualified Proposer to assist the SFPUC with the planning, engineering analysis and design required for the seismic upgrade of select structures at the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant. Services required include geotechnical investigations and reports; alternatives analysis and conceptual engineering reports; design services; and support services during bid and award and construction. The Proposer may also be called upon to provide other related planning, design and engineering support services during the term of the Professional Services Agreement (Agreement). Such services could include supplemental geotechnical investigations, supplemental analysis and engineering computer modeling, materials testing, providing scheduling and cost estimating services and other specialized services at the discretion of the SFPUC. The term Proposer shall refer to any legal entity(ies) submitting a proposal in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP). Proposers responding to this RFP must have extensive experience in the design of large sewer system infrastructure with specific knowledge and proven experience in seismically retrofitting existing wastewater and/or water treatment plants in areas of high seismicity.

The Contract Monitoring Division (CMD) Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subsconsulting goal for this project is 14% of the total value of the goods and/or services to be provided.

1/14/15: Oral Interviews are scheduled for January 30, 2014. Shortlist will be posted later. 

1/22/15: The written evaluation is now complete. In alphabetical order, the following firms will advance to the oral interview phase of this RFP process: Forell-Elsesser Engineers Inc., SOHA-MBE JV, & Structus Inc.. These proposers will be sent an oral interview invitation shortly. 

 2/3/15: The RFP evaluation process is complete. The two highest ranked firms, SOHA-MBE JV & Structus Inc. will be recommended for award.
