The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in search of candidates (“Candidates”) who have the necessary qualifications as set forth in this RFQ to be pre-qualified to propose on a microwave radio communication system design-build project. Candidates with a proven record as Design Builder or Joint Venture-lead partner on major digital microwave radio communication system projects are invited to participate in the pre-qualification process.   Whether a Candidate has such qualifications will be determined through the evaluation process described in Section 3(c) of this RFQ. Candidates chosen through this process (“Qualified Candidates”) will be notified of their eligibility to propose on the microwave radio communication system project.  Qualified Candidates may be required to meet additional qualifications as listed in the forthcoming project-specific Request for Proposals (RFP). Candidates responding to this RFQ do so with the understanding that they are not guaranteed the awarding of a contract and work. It is expected that the Design Builder or Joint Venture shall self-perform the majority of the work.
