Sealed bids will be received at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94102, until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 for JOC-43.
Bids that are hand-delivered prior to 12:00 noon on the day of bid opening as well as bids that are mailed or sent by messenger service shall be delivered to: SFPUC Contract Administration Bureau, 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 8th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94102, Attention: Pauline Lam.
Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission may accomplish a series of projects with a single, competitively bid contract awarded before the projects are identified. Contractors bid an adjustment factor to pre-set unit prices. Work is accomplished by issuing task orders to the successful contractor during the three year term of the contract.
The value of each contract is not to exceed $5,000,000.00 with an option for an additional dollar value of $2,500,000.00, for a total potential cumulative value of $7,500,000.00. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties. A bid bond in the amount of 10% of the original contract value will be required.
Each Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible responsive bidder. All three contracts are being advertised simultaneously, utilizing the same Project Manual, Construction Task Catalog, and Technical Specifications, but with separate bid form packages. While a contractor may submit bids on multiple contracts, according to Chapter 6 of the San Francisco Administrative Code, a contractor may be awarded only one JOC contract with the SFPUC.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The subcontracting goal for JOC-41 (General A-License) is 20.00% for Small and Micro-LBEs (Firms certified by SF Human Rights Commission).
