Project Description

Sealed bids will be received at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94102, until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 for JOC-41.

Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission may accomplish a series of projects with a single, competitively bid contract awarded before the projects are identified. Contractors bid an adjustment factor to pre-set unit prices. Work is accomplished by issuing task orders to the successful contractor during the three year term of the contract.

The value of each contract is not to exceed $5,000,000.00 with an option for an additional dollar value of $2,500,000.00, for a total potential cumulative value of $7,500,000.00. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties. A bid bond in the amount of 10% of the original contract value will be required.

Each Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible responsive bidder. All three contracts are being advertised simultaneously, utilizing the same Project Manual, Construction Task Catalog, and Technical Specifications, but with separate bid form packages. While a contractor may submit bids on multiple contracts, according to Chapter 6 of the San Francisco Administrative Code, a contractor may be awarded only one JOC contract with the SFPUC.

Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The subcontracting goal for JOC-41 (General A-License) is 20.00% for Small and Micro-LBEs (Firms certified by SF Human Rights Commission). Only San Francisco Small and Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement. Please contact Hadas Rivera-Weiss at (415) 551-4814 for further information on JOC-41.

For JOC-41, subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: Building/Moving/Wrecking, Carpentry/Cabinets & Millwork, Cathodic Protection, Concrete, Construction Traffic Control Services, Earthwork & Paving, Electrical, Elevator Installation & Repair, Fire Protection, General Engineering, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste & Remediation Service, Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning, Landscape, Masonry, Ornamental Metals, Painting/Waterproofing, Pipeline, Plumbing, Reinforcing Steel, Roofing, Sheet Metal, Structural Steel, Tree Service, Trucking & Hauling, Welding, and Well Drilling.
