The Hetch Hetchy Water and Power (HHWP), a Division of the SFPUC, and a department of the City, is an owner, operator, and user of the Bulk Electric System and as such is subject to compliance with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) reliability standards. The HHWP is registered with NERC for the following reliability functions: Generator Owner (GO), Generator Operator (GOP), Purchase-Selling Entity (PSE), Transmission Owner (TO), Transmission Operator (TOP).
The SFPUC is seeking to enter into an agreement for the provision of NERC compliance consulting as it relates to NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements and COM-001, including the following services: (i) readiness assessment; (ii) Subject Matter Expert (SME) training; (iii) on-site audit/spot check support; (iv) compliance process review and documentation; (v) cyber vulnerability assessments and (vi) services for issues regarding compliance and demonstration of NERC reliability standards in the future up to five (5) years. The Proposer will also be required to provide design and design review of HHWP’s existing and proposed facilities for meeting NERC CIP and COM-001 requirements during the term of the Professional Services Agreement.

Oral Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday October 31, 2012 at SFPUC Headquaters 525 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102
December 4, 2012 - The CS-245 RFP evaluation process is complete. The highest rankied firm is GridSME.
