Bidders are hereby advised that the subject contract will be re-bid as WW-530(I)R using the existing plans, specifications and addenda. Plan Holders for WW-530(I) do not need to purchase plans and specifications again; their status as Plan Holders will carry over to WW-530(I)R.
Sealed bids will be received at 1155 Market Street, 1st Floor, (between 7th and 8th Streets), Contract Administration Service Desk, San Francisco, CA 94103, until 2:00 P.M. on May 17, 2012. Hard copy versions of plans, specifications and bidding documents are available at 1155 Market St., 1st Floor, Contract Administration Service Desk, San Francisco, CA 94103 for a non-refundable $50.00 fee paid by cash or by check payable to “SFPUC”. The objective of the project is to replace the existing adjustable frequency drive motor equipment at the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant with new motor starters or adjustable frequency drives. The work will also include provisions for all the related conduit, wires, and electrical appurtenances, as well as, selective electrical demolition, electrical testing, instrumentation and control work. In some cases, the project will be a 1:1 unit replacement of the existing adjustable frequency drives with new units. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California.
Addendum No. 1 was issued March 13, 2012.
Addendum No. 2 was issued March 15, 2012.
Addendum No. 3 was issued March 21, 2012.
Addendum No. 4 was issued March 27, 2012.
Addendum No. 5 was issued April 26, 2012. Addendum No. 5 advertised the project for re-bid as WW-530(I)R.
The Engineer's estimate is $350,000. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible responsive bidder.
Bid discounts may be applied for certified LBEs as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE subcontracting goal is 7.00% and ONLY Local San Francisco Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Local San Francisco Firms certified by SF Human Rights Commission). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the subcontracting goal for this project. Please contact Bayard Fong at (415) 554-3103 for further information. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: selective electrical demolition of equipment, and replacing existing adjustable frequency motor drives by furnishing and installing new, more efficient and reliable adjustable frequency drives or motor starters.
