Construction on the new Lincoln Park Pump Station was completed in April 2007.
The new, modern facility has new energy efficient pumps and controls, and a new seismically reinforced concrete structure. Also included in this project are a new security fence and monitoring and disinfection systems.

Originally built in 1947, the pump station was demolished in the summer 2005 and replaced with a new, larger building to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and seismic and building codes. New electrical equipment, improved security, and an emergency generator have been added.  Soundproofing material was installed to minimize noise in the nearby residential area.  New extensive landscaping has been installed, including many new trees, bushes and flowering ground cover plants.
