Project Completed: May, 2008 The newly constructed La Grande replacement tank is now in service having passed numerous tests and regulatory requirements, plus undergoing a complete disinfection process.  The older tank was quickly demolished and removed earlier this year.  The new tank supplies domestic drinking water and fire protection to the residences in the higher elevation areas of the Excelsior District.  The original tank served the area since 1956.
