Construction of the new, modern Summit Pump Station was completed in late Fall 2008. The original building was demolished and the new building is complete. New pumps, generator and energy efficient equipment were installed. Landscaping on the roof and surrounding grounds was added to enhance the site.

This project included demolition of the pre-existing building, construction of a new reinforced concrete building with a two-ton bridge Crane and flood containment, installation of new pumps (300 hp each), standby generator, sprinkler system, new electrical system, new roof for the generator building, new disinfection and valve house buildings, replacement of two hydropneumatic tanks, a new 3,000 gallon buried fuel tank, new day tank and fuel pumps and piping, security fencing and monitoring systems, roadway improvements, water quality monitoring and disinfection systems, landscaping and other site work. This project also provides the necessary facilities to support the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) project by adding automation where needed.
