Provides fire protection system at water department corporation yard to comply with fire department regulations.

This project covers the final phase of construction to complete the fire detection and monitoring systems needed at the City Distribution Division facilities. Improvements will be made to the Administration Building, Warehouse, Meter Calibration Building, Paint Booth Building, and various other shops to bring these facilities up to American Disabilities Act (ADA) and Fire Marshall standards for fire detection.The requirements for fire detection and alarms are very stringent and include linked smoke detection devices, strobes, annunciators, building-mounted alert lights, modifications to the ventilation systems to provide smoke dampers and equipment interlocks, conduits and related electrical and mechanical work.

Additional modifications may be required to each building to conform to Title 24 ADA requirements.
