The proposed Alameda Creek Fishery Enhancement Project would allow for the recapture of up to 6,300 acre-feet of water released from the Calaveras Reservoir to enhance the local fishery and improve downstream riparian habitat in the portion of the creek between Calaveras Creek and the Sunol Valley Water Treatment Plant. The released water would be recaptured at a suitable point downstream for return to the regional water system. This project is consistent with the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with California Department of Fish and Game for fisheries habitat enhancement. This project is provided in response to the Water Supply level of service goal. Description The currently anticipated scope may include:
