LEADING STORY
The San Francisco Planning Department will host a series of five public hearings to receive public comment on the Draft Program Environmental Impact Report (Draft PEIR) on the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s (SFPUC) $4.3 billion Water System Improvement Program (WSIP). The SFPUC is proposing the WSIP to increase the reliability of the regional water system, which provides drinking water to 2.4 million people in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, and Tuolumne Counties. WSIP implementation would meet customer needs through 2030 and construct repairs and seismic improvements to many facilities within the existing system. Read more
