POSITION INFORMATION:
The 0933 Program and Maintenance Manager manages the personnel and operation of the machine shop, carpenter shop, auto shop, pipe welding shop, meter repair shop, electric shop, and Landscape/Forestry Management as well as managing various maintenance and repair activities in the field
The essential functions of the job include: Directing through subordinate supervisory personnel that all activities and costs are captured and also that all jobs are planned in MAXIMO; Overseeing the maintenance, repair, upkeep and servicing of all automobiles, trucks and various pieces of mechanized heavy equipment; Preparing specifications together with estimated costs covering replacements or additions to mechanized equipment, shop machinery and power and hand tools as well as making recommendations for acquisitions of such items; Directing the preparation of detailed estimates of manufacturing costs for all types of machine parts, equipment and repairs according to specified requirements and preparing bids for the necessary work involved; Monitoring the inspection of all equipment, castings and fittings to assure conformance with specifications and recommending acceptance or rejection; Assigning duties to various subordinate supervisors and other employees; Supervising the manufacture of all types of machine parts, equipment and repairs; Preparing necessary requisitions for needed supplies and materials; Interpreting department rules, regulations and policies as necessary
Note: The normal annual salary range is $111,020 - $141,700. Appointments above the maximum of the normal range may be considered based on documented and substantiated recruitment and retention issues or exceptional skills. A special approval process is necessary for appointment above the normal salary range. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in operations related maintenance of utility or process control. Construction and modifications experience of process control or utility facilities upgrade/rebuild INCLUDING
2. Four (4) years of management and scheduling experience utilizing a CMMS in machine maintenance and repair shops.
