The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) has an opportunity for an experienced and versatile systems professional to join our team. We are involved in supporting our customers who are located over a broad area of Northern California (from Yosemite Park to San Francisco) and are engaged in a wide variety of utility related activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This position is responsible for requirements definition, product evaluation, program development, and implementation, user liaison and administrative support of software systems in support of the SFPUC’s Human Resource Services group.  Current HRS data is maintained in a variety of non-integrated environments and the initial challenge will be to lead the systems development process towards a uniform solution to HRS information needs.  

Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Provide analytical direction for the integration of existing HRS information sources into an integrated solution.  This will include the documentation of user requirements, development of system specifications, review of available commercial software solutions, and identification of the ideal solution to HRS information needs.

· Manage the implementation of HRS information software at HRS offices as well as other user sites, including the training of end user personnel.

· Serve as ongoing primary resource for HRS to provide automated solutions to other evolving information management requirements.

· Serve as system administrator for HRS applications software and Data Base Administrator and technical architect for the Oracle database that will support HRS information management activities in the PUC.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Experience with Oracle database management software and Cold-Fusion based web development are required.  MS Access experience is desired, and experience in the implementation and support of Human Resources automated systems is a plus, as is experience with Coldfusion as a web development platform.  The candidate who is able to perform the duties listed in “Duties and Responsibilities” above will be especially qualified for this position:
